Water Quality Reports
Each year in June, the City of Mascoutah along with its public water supplier SLM Water Commission issue its annual Water Quality Report (aka Consumer Confidence Report) to its customers. The report lists data on the quality of the supply's drinking water.
The issuance of this report is a result of the safe Drinking Water Act of 1996, which was passed by Congress. Every public water supply in the nation is required to meet this requirement whether the supply has contaminants in its finished water or not. This report must be made available to customers on an annual basis.

The Consumer Confidence Report will not be mailed to each customer, but will be annually posted in the Mascoutah Herald, will be posted at City Hall, and will be posted on the City of Mascoutah’s website.
