PUBLIC NOTICE: City Hall closures in response to COVID-19

Due to the recent developments regarding COVID-19, City offices will be closed on Tuesday, March 17th to protect the health and safety of City staff during the General Primary Election since City Hall is a polling place.  City Hall will be open for the General Primary Election on Tuesday, March 17th from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Beginning Wednesday, March 18th, City Hall will be closed to the public until further notice.  City Hall will have staff on site to conduct business over the phone and electronically between the normal hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.

Utility payments:
The City of Mascoutah partners with PSN, Payment Service Network, to offer online payment options to our customers.  This is a free service.  Customers can view bills as well as make a payment online.  In addition, payments can be made 24 hours a day by calling (877) 885-7968 by checking account, savings account, MasterCard, VISA, or Discover.  Checks and money orders can be mailed to City Hall or placed in the drop box located in the alleyway on the west side of City Hall.

In response to the economic hardships that our customers may experience due to the COVID-19 pandemic, City will not be imposing any penalties on past due utility bills and will not be conducting any utility disconnects due to non-payments through at least May 1st.  Customers needing assistance with paying their bill should contact the utility office at 566-2964 x502.

Parks and Recreation:
The City will be closing all ballfields, the AG Building, and park restrooms through at least Monday, March 30th effective immediately.  The City will be evaluating conditions to determine when it will be appropriate to reopen ballfields and the AG Building and will update accordingly.

Permits and Other Business:
Occupancy Permits, Building Permits, yard waste renewals and any other City business will be conducted via email and phone.  This process may cause delays in certain permits being finalized and issued so we ask for your patience during this time.

The health and safety of our community and employees is our top priority and we want to thank you for your cooperation in our efforts.  All dates and information are subject to change at any time due to the information received.  We will post all updates on our website and Facebook page as they occur.  Please contact us at 566-2964 with any questions.
