Mascoutah Police Department Announces Labor Day Campaign Results

The Mascoutah Police Department issued 12 written warnings and the following citations during the recent Labor Day campaign:  

  • 1 - Disobeyed Traffic Control Signal 
  • 4 - Improper Use of Electronic Communication Device 
  • 4 - Operating Uninsured Vehicle 
  • 1 - Operating Vehicle with Expired Registration 
  • 4 - Operating Vehicle with Registration Suspended 
  • 2 - Speeding 

“Through the Labor Day enforcement effort, we helped to make our roads safer and remind motorists that impaired driving is not a game,” said Lt. Matt Steinkamp.   
The Mascoutah Police Department joined forces with other law enforcement agencies and highway safety partners throughout the state for the Illinois Labor Day “Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over/Drive High. Get a DUI” enforcement campaign.  

The effort was made possible by federal highway safety funds distributed by the Illinois Department of Transportation.
