The Cemetery Division is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the City Cemetery. This includes working with the Cemetery Board of Managers who governs a separate cash flow amount restricted for the cemetery as specified by the Board.
The Cemetery Division consists of one full time employee and seasonal part-time employees in the summer to assist with ground keeping. The City Manager and City Engineer work together to administer communication for the overall operation of this division. This division maintains the cemetery grounds, oversees burials, maintains burial plot records, works closely with surrounding funeral homes for scheduling, and oversees monument/marker repairs as needed.
