Resident Survey Request - Community Walkability and Bikeability

The City of Mascoutah is applying for a grant through the Illinois Safe Routes to School (SRTS) Program for construction of a new sidewalk along IL Route 4 and a new pedestrian bridge across the big ditch.  The new sidewalk would connect the Prairie View subdivision to the Multi-Purpose Berm Trail currently under construction.  This project would provide a safe pedestrian route from Prairie View subdivision to the middle school and elementary school.

In order to assist the City in being awarded the grant, the City is asking residents to complete the attached surveys (note:  these two surveys are different from the ones being sent home with students on Friday, November 9th).  To assist with the grant, the City will need completed surveys returned by Wednesday, November 14th.  Completed surveys can be returned to the Administration office at City Hall.

Surveys can be downloaded and printed or can be picked up at City Hall.

These surveys can also be completed at anytime during the year to assist the City with future planning of new sidewalks and trails.

The City thanks you in advance for your assistance.
