Press Release – Mascoutah July 4th Celebration

This year, the Mascoutah July 4th Celebration will consist of fireworks only. This decision was made based on the Governor’s Restore Illinois Plan. Even if the state was to move to Phase 4 of the plan in July, only groups of 50 would be allowed to gather which would make the regular event impossible.
The fireworks are scheduled for 9:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 4th. The fireworks will be set off next to the Dog Park on the north side of Scheve Park. More information will be provided as the event nears regarding allowed viewing and parking locations within Scheve Park. Thank you and stay safe.
