Parks & Recreation

The City of Mascoutah is known for their beautiful parks and is open to the public.

Scheve Park – Located at Sixth Street at Harnett & Park Drive.  Is our largest park and offers the following amenities:

  • Skate Park
  • Pavilions
  • AG Building
  • Grandstands
  • Playground
  • Ball Fields
  • Football Field
  • Community Swimming Pool
  • Horse Shoe Pits
  • Walking Trail
  • Disc Golf
  • Basketball
  • Train Car

Maple Park – Located at Maple Street & South Street.  Is a smaller park and in a neighborhood setting.  It consists of a playground, half-court basketball, a pavilion, and a backstop with grass field.

Prairie Lakes Park – Located along Route 177.  Consists of two lakes for fishing with a picnic area on the west side of the facility.

Dog Park – Located in Scheve Park north of the “Big Ditch” behind the Berger-Kiel Log House; enter from North 6th Street.  Click here for the rules of the dog park.
